GDOT is gearing up to enhance traffic management in Georgia to meet thestate’s evolving demands in the next decade. Chief Engineer Meg Pirkle willhighlight a range of innovative ITS and operations projects currently inprogress at GDOT. While some projects, such as ITS expansion and trafficmanagement software, may sound familiar, there are additional initiativesunderway. Updates will encompass interstate fiber and connected vehicleprojects, NEVI, Hydrogen Fuel initiatives, and preparations for upcoming majorevents. Together, these programs and projects are geared towards effectivelyaddressing the growing needs and demands for traffic management in Georgia.
