Kate Shearin

Kate is a 2011 Georgia Tech graduate with over twelve years of experience working in Traffic Operations. She began her career in the public sector with the Georgia Department of Transportation and has recently shifted to the private sector joining KCI Technologies as a Senior Project Manager. Throughout her entire career, Kate has devoted tremendous amounts of time and effort to advancing traffic operations within the state of Georgia leading the effort to develop and implement the GDOT SigOps program.

While she has been a member of the ITS Georgia Section for the past decade, she has previously dedicated her time to GAITE, serving as the Georgia Section president in 2020 and navigating the section through the first year of the pandemic to receive the outstanding section award from the ITE District level. After concluding her time on the GAITE board, Kate is now prepared to dedicate her time the ITS Georgia section in a Director position to support the officers and members. She looks forward to becoming more involved in ITS and bringing her experience and perspective to the board.
