Angshuman Guin

Dr. Angshuman Guin is a Senior Research Engineer in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology.  Dr. Guin has 15 years of experience in Freeway Operations, Traffic Incident Management, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Transportation Safety and Traffic Simulation.

Before joining Georgia Tech, Dr. Guin worked as a consultant at URS Corporation where he served as the on-site Engineer at Georgia Department of Transportation’s (GDOT) Transportation Management Center (TMC) where he led efforts on the evaluation and performance tracking of the TMC’s incident management program.

Dr. Guin is currently managing several projects at Georgia Tech involving highway safety, traffic operations and connected vehicles and big-data technologies.  Dr. Guin has served on the Transportation Research Board’s Highway Traffic Monitoring committee and the Transportation Safety Management committee, and is currently serving on the User Information Systems committee.
